No, you will not. If you log out you lose all magic. If you simply turn off the game it will still be there but if you actually click "log out" it will disappear.

You can do it two ways, resizing and cropping.
Cropping takes off the extra part of the image while resizing shrinks it. To Crop, click on the little squarish tool on the tool bar close to the top, ... |
