I love bientot l'ete, don't get me wrong, but when I got to play chess with a human or simulator I can only say one or two things and then my options go away.
What gives? I'd love a solution. BTW I have all the pieces and the special item. I'm just not sure how to get around this dialogue problem (if that's what it is).

| I think you have to go walk on the beach near the water to "learn" new phrases. They come to you from time to time. |

I've walked the beach from side to side, until I see the opposite image. I have multiple phrases in the sand too.
I'll give it a try - maybe I have to right click and look at the phrases or something. |

It seems you were right, but now it appears that I have lost some progress in the "game". I no longer have the special item or even some of my chess pieces.
Not a big deal - I like the experience, but still an unwanted hick-up in my gameplay. |

| I have experienced this too. After having collected all pieces and the gun, after a while I was missing some pieces and the gun was no longer there. I had to recollect everything again. I do not know what caused this. It coincided with the first times I was able to connect with other people rather than just play the simulation. |
