One of the more important filters is to choose the opportunities that are <strong>most compatible<\/strong> with the relationship that the actor has with the object that offers the opportunity (&#8220;Filter of Intimacy&#8221;). This way, the actor doesn&#8217;t start kissing a character that they kicked previously (or at least it&#8217;s very unlikely ;)).<\/p>\n<p>All opportunities have an <em>Intimacy<\/em> level that expresses which type of relationship is required to choose this opportunity as a goal. This\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0way,\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0they\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0get\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0arranged\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0in\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0order: from interactions suitable\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0for\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0enemies all\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0way\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0up\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0to\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0interactions\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0suitable\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0for\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0lovers. When dealing with the extreme emotions, it&#8217;s fairly easy to say what relationship the interaction suits (as in the kicking or kissing example above). But when the interactions are somewhat neutral, it&#8217;s hard to match them up. Does sitting on a\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0bench require a\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0better\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0relationship with\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0it than\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0lying\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0on\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0it? Or\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0sitting on a\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0chair? Intimacy\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0values for\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0neutral\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0interactions\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0are more\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0or\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0less\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0arbitrary\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0and\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0<strong>shouldn&#8217;t\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0be\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0taken as seriously<\/strong> by the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Filter\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0of\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Intimacy as\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0the interactions that\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0do\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0explicitly\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0require\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0love or hate.<\/p>\n<p>When the Intimacy value of opportunities is extreme, the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Filter\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0of Intimacy\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0will\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0require a\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0better\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0match with\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0the affection that the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0actor feels for the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0object. The\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0closer\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Intimacy gets to\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0neutral, the more loose\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0the match\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0is allowed\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0to\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0be.<\/p>\n<p><em>A\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0similar\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0thing\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0will\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0need\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0to\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0happen\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0in\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Emotion\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0System\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0where\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0effect\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0of\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0interaction\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0is evaluated: neutral\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0interactions\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0shouldn&#8217;t\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0have as deep an\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0impact\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0on\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0relationship\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0as\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0extreme\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0ones. Or\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0effect\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0of\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0any\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0interaction\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0should be\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0more\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0severe\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0if\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Affection\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0is\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0more\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0extreme.
